Suspect Caught After Newtown Bank Robbery

On Monday afternoon, Feb. 26, Newtown Police responded to a bank robbery in progress at the Newtown Union Savings Bank on Church Hill Road.

Newtown officers were in the area about 1:30 p.m. and after a brief foot chase, police officers were able to apprehend the suspect. 

Police said further details on the robbery will be released shortly.
